Follow-Up: Aramco Building in Dhahran Targeted in Attack; Missile Debris Injures Four in Riyadh

The Associated Press reported that Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy said an administrative building at Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, in the country's Eastern Province, was targeted in an attack on Tuesday night, October 13, sparking a limited fire with no injuries reported. Dhahran is home to Aramco's headquarters and a major operations centre overseeing its network of oil facilities.
Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense said debris from two intercepted Houthi missiles fell on residential areas in Riyadh, injuring four people and damaging 15 homes. CNN reported that the Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles and two drones targeting the Riyadh region and southern Saudi Arabia, after a series of coalition alerts for incoming missiles heading for the Eastern Province and the capital.
In response, the coalition carried out new airstrikes on Tuesday night on the Houthi-held Yemeni capital, Sanaa. Houthi-run media and residents reported strong explosions in Sanaa hours after the coalition struck the Subaha fuel facility west of the city. Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki accused the Houthis of using the Yemen Oil Company facility and its underground fuel depots for their arsenal of missiles and drones, and the coalition had earlier issued a rare statement urging civilians in Sanaa to leave the site and nearby storage areas. The Houthis said the earlier strike on the fuel facility killed two civilians and injured two; the coalition said it had warned civilians to leave beforehand.
The exchange marked a fresh escalation after more than a week of Houthi missile and drone attacks that had shut Riyadh's main international airport and forced widespread flight cancellations.
