Beverly Hills Council to Weigh One Beverly Hills Amendments and Golden Globes Closures on Oct. 20

The Beverly Hills City Council will hold a study session and a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 20, with a public hearing on amendments to the One Beverly Hills project and a review of street closures for the 2027 Golden Globes headlining the agenda. The regular meeting convenes at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive.
At the public hearing, the Council will consider amendments to the One Beverly Hills Overlay Specific Plan and to the development agreement with BH Luxury Residences and Oasis West Realty LLC. The changes would allow medical and ambulatory surgical care uses — outpatient only — in the project's Promenade amenity area and open those uses to the public. They would also create a Residences Rental Program allowing up to 44 residential units to be rented with a minimum stay of one night, and revise the developer's public benefit and fine art obligations.
The study session will take up a request from Dick Clark Productions for approval of street and sidewalk closures and a waiver of permit fees for the 84th Annual Golden Globe Awards, set for Sunday, January 10, 2027, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Council members will also discuss Penske Media Corporation's proposed Golden Globes Golden Week 2027 partnership with the city.
On the consent calendar, the Council is set to approve joining the Westside Cities Affordable Housing Trust — recently formed by Culver City, Santa Monica and West Hollywood — and to consider Metro's request for a waiver of the holiday construction moratorium for the Purple Line Section 2 project, with denial of the waiver among the options staff has put before the Council.
