Washington — A symposium titled "Shared Moon, Shared Poetry" (Tianya Gong Cishi, a Mid-Autumn poetry gathering) was held on October 16 at the Chinese Embassy in the United States (3505 International Place, N.W., Washington, D.C.), drawing more than 40 guests from U.S. cultural and tourism circles. Tang Zhiwen, a minister at the embassy, attended the symposium and delivered remarks; Chen Chunmei, the minister-counselor responsible for cultural and tourism affairs, was also present.

At the symposium, the hosts introduced the cultural meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival and exchanged experience from China-U.S. cultural cooperation. Guests discussed the opportunities the China-U.S. leaders' meeting has brought to cultural exchanges between the two countries, China-U.S. people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, and how to attract more American tourists to travel to China, exploring paths toward win-win cooperation between the two countries.
