Palos Verdes Estates: Fall Paving Starts Oct. 20, Road Impacts Through Mid-November
The City of Palos Verdes Estates released its Oct. 16 city update. Fall paving work begins Oct. 20, with asphalt rubber cape seal slurry applied on Palos Verdes Drive West, Via Del Monte and Via Corta; traffic and parking impacts are expected through Nov. 14, no-parking signs will be posted 72 hours in advance, and street sweeping will be suspended on affected streets.
Other items in the update: a household hazardous waste and e-waste roundup will be held Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Palos Verdes High School (600 Cloyden Road), accepting oil and filters, batteries, paint, e-waste and sharps in approved containers, with proof of Los Angeles County residency required. On Halloween evening, Palos Verdes Drive West, Paseo Del Mar and Via Corta will close starting at 5 p.m. The Bluff Cove parking lot will close to public parking on Nov. 1 for staging ahead of a parking lot and restroom project expected to start in mid-November and finish around January 2027. The City Council holds a special meeting on Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. and a regular meeting on Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. (GSM, based on a City of Palos Verdes Estates update)
