Bethesda's 'Fallout 5' Officially Announced and in Preproduction, ScreenRant Reports

Bethesda's 'Fallout 5' has been officially announced and is in preproduction, ScreenRant reported on October 17. As the Xbox brand refocuses on its biggest franchises this year, Bethesda is moving forward with multiple projects including 'Fallout 5' and 'The Elder Scrolls 6,' though both face a long road to release. The news set off discussion among fans on Reddit, whose wish list for the sequel includes more satisfying combat physics in place of simple ragdoll effects, a bigger map with more distinctive settlements and fewer but longer questlines, a deeper companion system and more role-playing depth, and a streamer-friendly setting for the series' licensed music. 'Fallout 76' continues alongside the single-player line, the 'Fallout' television series is preparing its third season, and remakes of 'Fallout 3' and 'Fallout: New Vegas' are also ahead.
