Charlotte Names Five Companies to Health Innovation Accelerator
Charlotte is a city in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The City of Charlotte announced on October 16, on its official City News page, that five companies have been selected for Charlotte's Health Innovation Accelerator. The city said Charlotte's health innovation ecosystem continues to gain momentum as entrepreneurs develop new technologies aimed at improving health outcomes, expanding access to care and addressing some of healthcare's most pressing challenges.
The announcement was listed among the city's October 16 announcements under business, economy and jobs. The same week, Charlotte Water said its mandatory Stage 2 water restrictions remain in effect: recent rainfall has improved reservoir levels, but the six-month average streamflow is still below normal. On October 15, the city also published an "Imagine a Day Without Water" feature on the role water workers play in public health, the economy and local communities.
