Phoenix is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona. The countdown to the 2027 NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix officially began at a press conference at Sky Harbor International Airport on Friday, October 16, attended by longtime Suns broadcaster Tom Leander, Suns CEO Josh Bartelstein and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, the Arizona Republic reported.

The All-Star festivities will be held February 19-21, 2027, at the Phoenix Convention Center, with the All-Star Game on February 21 at the Suns' Mortgage Matchup Center. Phoenix previously hosted NBA All-Star Weekends in 1975, 1995 and 2009, and most recently hosted the WNBA All-Star event in 2024.

"The women's All-Star Game had an incredible economic impact and we learned from that," Gallego said. "We're going to only do better, so the goal is to have the best All-Star Game ever." Bartelstein said the Suns have attended All-Star celebrations every year for the past five years taking notes, and will add an authentically Phoenix flavor in 2027. The NBA season opens October 20, and the Suns begin their season the following day in Portland against the Trail Blazers.
