Portland Holds District 4 Community Roundtable on Unified Housing Strategy on October 17

Portland is a city in Multnomah County, Oregon. The City of Portland invited residents to a District 4 community roundtable on its Unified Housing Strategy on October 17, according to the city's official website. Hosted by Housing & Permitting Committee Chair Candace Avalos and the Community & Economic Development Service Area, the session was held in Room 108 of The Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Ave, with an option to join via Zoom.
The Unified Housing Strategy will align the priorities of the city and the broader housing community around four goals: producing new housing, sustaining existing housing, innovating production, preservation and stabilization, and securing long-term, sustainable funding.
The city said the effort builds on substantial prior engagement and planning work, and that resident input is still needed to refine the strategy. Food, childcare and interpretation services were provided at the roundtable; residents were asked to contact the Portland Housing Bureau at least one week in advance for interpretation and two weeks in advance for childcare.
