Chinese-American Singer Emei Releases 'Molly' as 18-Date North American Tour Reaches New York and Wraps in Los Angeles on Oct 30

Chinese-American alternative pop singer-songwriter Emei has released a new single, 'Molly,' through Atlantic Records in partnership with Grammy-winning producer Ricky Reed's Nice Life Recording Company. The track previews her two-song release 'Night At The Opera: Intermission,' due out October 23.

Built on a kinetic guitar gallop, 'Molly' is written as a backstage pep talk, building to the refrain 'It's gonna be alright. Just get through tonight.' It continues the theatrical direction of her 'Night At The Opera' EP, released earlier this year to coverage in Variety and other outlets.

The single arrives in the middle of Emei's 18-date North American headline run, the Night At The Opera Tour, which opened September 30 at Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco and plays a two-night stand at Sony Hall in New York on October 16-17. The tour continues to Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Austin and Dallas before concluding October 30 at The Novo in Los Angeles. This summer she sold out The Slipper Room in New York and the Troubadour in Los Angeles.

Emei first broke through online with 'Late to the Party' and has since released the projects 'End of an Era,' 'Scatterbrain' and 'RABBITHOLE.' Full tour dates and ticket information are listed on her official site, emeiofficial.com.
