Temecula's Rose Haven Heritage Garden Marks 35 Years; Three-Day Celebration Wraps Oct. 18 With Art and Music Day

Temecula is a city in Riverside County, California. Rose Haven Heritage Garden in Temecula is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a three-day event from October 16 to 18, hosted by the nonprofit Temecula Valley Rose Society, which owns and manages the garden, at 30592 Jedediah Smith Road, Temecula, CA 92590, according to the society's official anniversary page.
Each day has a theme: a ribbon cutting and rededication ceremony on October 16; 'Families and Community in the Garden' on October 17, with interactive activities and educational demonstrations (the day's celebration runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.); and a closing day on October 18 themed 'Art, Music, Poetry, and Dance,' showcasing local artists and performers.
Founded in 1991, the 3.4-acre Rose Haven Heritage Garden is home to roughly 2,000 roses, along with succulent and xeriscape sections, a Peace and Friendship Garden, French and English gardens, a reflection pond and a gazebo, and is normally open free of charge daily from dawn to dusk. The anniversary celebration, themed 'A Garden for Generations – Blooming for the Future,' marks 35 years of the garden's work in horticultural education, environmental stewardship and community engagement.
