According to Netflix's synopsis, the new season returns to Night City, where Weak, a washed-up cyberpunk legend, is forced to live without chrome as he searches for purpose in a world that has passed him by, while the nomad D sets out on a path of revenge that brings him close to corporate secrets never meant to be found. Across ten episodes, the series tells a story of family, obsession and legacy. The English voice cast also includes Valeria Rodriguez as Roman Carax, Kimoy Lee as Talia Yang, Cesili Williams as Avida Yang, Brittany Lauda as Capri and E.G. Daily as Kyoko Tanaami.
Bartosz Sztybor serves as showrunner and Kai Ikarashi as director, with animation by Japan's Studio TRIGGER, based on the world of CD Projekt Red's game Cyberpunk 2077. In the same announcement, Netflix said Bass X Machina will premiere on November 3 and Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 in January 2027.
