Bruins Beat Kings 4-1 for Fifth Straight Win, Completing California Sweep
Boston is a city in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The Boston Bruins beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 on the road on the night of Oct. 17 for their fifth straight win, completing a sweep of their California trip at 7-2. The game was played at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Boston fell behind early, then scored four unanswered goals to come back. Captain David Pastrnak tied the game in the second period with his fourth goal of the season; with about six minutes left in the third, Marat Khusnutdinov scored on a putback for the game-winner. Elias Lindholm and JJ Peterka added empty-net goals late, and goaltender Jeremy Swayman made 25 saves.
Notably, head coach Marco Sturm made defenseman Zadorov a healthy scratch for disciplinary reasons — Zadorov took two penalties on a single shift in the previous night's 4-2 win over Anaheim and has accumulated 29 penalty minutes in eight games this season. The Bruins visit the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.
