McDavid's Two Goals and Three Assists Power Oilers' 6-2 Revenge Win over Mammoth; Fifth Straight Road Victory

Salt Lake City is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah. On the night of Oct. 17, the Edmonton Oilers beat the Utah Mammoth 6-2 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, avenging a loss at home two nights earlier and extending their unbeaten road run to five games.
Captain Connor McDavid tallied two goals and three assists, opening the scoring just 40 seconds in; through eight games he has six goals and 17 assists. Zach Hyman scored a power-play goal in his return, Mathieu Joseph netted his first as an Oiler, and Kasperi Kapanen and Leon Draisaitl scored in quick succession midway through the second as Edmonton reeled off five straight goals. Utah did not break goaltender Tristan Jarry's (26 saves) shutout bid until two third-period goals. Mammoth goalie Karel Vejmelka was pulled midway through the second after allowing five goals on 17 shots.
In the teams' first meeting two days earlier, Utah had handed Edmonton its first regulation loss of the season at home. With this win, the Oilers are perfect in five road games, and the contrast between their home and road form is an early storyline of the season.
