Manning's Late Fumble Caps Texas' 27-24 Home Upset Loss to Florida

Austin is a city in Travis County, Texas. The Texas Longhorns were upset at home in Austin on Saturday, October 17, falling 27-24 to unranked Florida at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for a second straight loss that clouds their playoff outlook.
Texas, a top-10 team that was ranked No. 1 in the country just a week earlier, lost at home a week after falling to Oklahoma. Star quarterback Arch Manning — nephew of NFL greats Peyton and Eli Manning — was strip-sacked with under two minutes left and his team trailing by three, ending any hope of a tie or comeback. Manning finished 14-for-20 for 173 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, but he managed zero yards on 10 rushing attempts and was stopped on two short-yardage runs in the fourth quarter.
Texas also lost the nation's sack leader, Colin Simmons, who was carted off with a left leg injury in the fourth quarter; his status is to be determined. The Longhorns' next four opponents are all ranked teams.
