Lidl Recalls One Lot of Gelatelli Coffee & Vanilla Gelato Over Listeria Risk in Nine States and D.C.

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · Life · GSM News

Arlington — Lidl US is recalling one lot of Gelatelli Coffee & Vanilla Gelato with Coffee Sauce & Cookie Pieces because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted the company's recall announcement on October 17; the company announcement is dated October 16, 2026.

The recalled product is the 16 fl oz container, UPC 4 0564897 22458, Lot 085261, Best By MAR/26/2028, packaged in a clear plastic container with a brown lid, with the lot code on the bottom of the container. It was distributed between July 19 and October 15, 2026 to all Lidl US retail stores in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.

Lidl US said the recall was initiated after routine quality testing identified Listeria monocytogenes in a lab sample, and that no illnesses have been reported to date. The announcement notes Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems, and can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. Customers should discard the product or return it to any Lidl store for a full refund, with no receipt required; questions go to the Lidl US Customer Care Hotline at (844) 747-5435, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
