Walmart Prices Holiday Meal Basket at $35: 26 Items Feeding 10 People, the Lowest Since the Program Began

Walmart announced on October 28 that its holiday meal basket for 2026 costs $35 and includes 26 items that feed 10 people, or $3.50 per person. The company said it is the lowest price since the basket program began in 2022.
The basket is built around a Butterball turkey priced at 97 cents per pound, along with Stove Top stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes and gravy, ingredients for green bean and sweet potato casseroles, Jiffy corn muffin mix, dinner rolls and pumpkin pie ingredients. Walmart said the basket has 18 percent more items than last year, and that the same items cost 12 percent less than in 2025.
The basket is available now through December 24 in Walmart stores and as a one-click basket online, with free Express Delivery offered through November 30. Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico and Wisconsin are excluded. Walmart stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26.
"The Holiday Meal Basket has become one of our favorite traditions at Walmart," said David Guggina, president and CEO of Walmart U.S.
Other retailers have also announced holiday meal offers this year: Aldi's meal for 10 is priced under $39, Target is offering a $30 meal for six, and Sam's Club has a basket of about $160 feeding 16 people.
