60th Borrego Days Desert Festival Continues Sunday in Borrego Springs

BORREGO SPRINGS — The 60th annual Borrego Days Desert Festival runs October 17–18 at Christmas Circle Community Park on Palm Canyon Drive in Borrego Springs, continuing Sunday, October 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
Sunday's program features Ballet Folklorico dancers, Mariachi Estrella, and music from the Borrego Academy of Music and Art, while the weekend also offers art exhibits, a kids' zone, food and artisan vendors, a beer garden and a free-to-enter car show. Saturday's parade, themed "Reach for the Stars," stepped off at 9 a.m. down Palm Canyon Drive after the National Anthem and a flyover.
Produced by the Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce, Borrego Days marks its 60th edition this year. Borrego Springs, surrounded by Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, is an International Dark Sky Community, and the parade theme nods to the area's famed night skies.
