BeamNG.drive Launches on PS5 Today in Early Access, Priced at $24.99

Bremen — BeamNG.drive, the driving game known for its soft-body physics crash simulation, launched on PlayStation 5 on October 19 in Early Access on the PlayStation Store, priced at $24.99. It is the game's first console release since its PC Early Access debut in 2015. Developer BeamNG GmbH is based in Bremen, Germany, and the PS5 version is published by Soft Source Publishing.
According to the developer's website, the PS5 version carries over the core of the game: a soft-body physics engine built on individual nodes and beams that simulates vehicle parts bending, breaking and detaching in real time, with crash deformation computed frame by frame, so no two collisions at different speeds and angles damage a vehicle the same way. The game includes more than 30 drivable vehicles, from small hatchbacks to heavy trucks, each customizable and tunable.
Modes on PS5 include a career mode, free roam, racing and stunt challenges, vehicle chases and cargo delivery, plus a sandbox scenario editor with custom rules. The developer says content and performance updates will continue during Early Access, with no date set for the full release; PC owners must purchase the PS5 version separately.
