[Video] Frostpunk Launches on Nintendo Switch Today; Complete Edition Bundles All Three Expansions, Demo Live on eShop

Frostpunk, the city-building survival game from Polish developer 11 bit studios, launched on Nintendo Switch on October 19, with a free playable demo available the same day on the Nintendo eShop. The studio confirmed the date in a release-date trailer on October 5 and published a launch trailer on October 19.
According to the publisher, the Switch release carries launch discounts of 30 percent on the base game and 35 percent on the Complete Edition. The Complete Edition bundles all three of the original game's expansions: The Rifts, The Last Autumn and On The Edge. Players can try the eShop demo before choosing an edition.
Frostpunk first launched on PC on April 24, 2018, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions in 2019 and a mobile release in 2024. Set in a world gripped by a volcanic winter, the game casts the player as the ruler of a settlement who must balance fuel, food and heating while making legal and moral choices to keep the city running and its people alive — a society-as-gameplay approach that made it one of the most acclaimed city builders of its generation.
Headquartered in Warsaw, 11 bit studios is also known for This War of Mine. The Switch release is a port of the 2018 original and is a separate title from the sequel, Frostpunk 2. (GSM, based on 11 bit studios' official announcement)
