[Video] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Launches in Full on October 23, With Campaign Early Access Live and DMZ Following on October 20

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, launches in full on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2, with no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version. It is the franchise's first release on a Nintendo platform in more than a decade.
The rollout is staged: digital pre-order players gained early access to the single-player campaign on October 16, early access to the DMZ extraction mode follows on October 20, and multiplayer arrives with the full launch on October 23.
The 16-mission campaign is set on the Korean Peninsula, where North Korea launches a full-scale invasion and South Korean soldier Park Hyun Jun and his squad fight on a collapsing front line. With Task Force 141 disbanded, Captain Price operates off the books while his former teammates Ghost and Gaz are ordered to track him down. Missions also reach Paris, New York and Mumbai.
DMZ returns as a full extraction mode set in the Hajin exclusion zone in South Korea, with its own progression. Multiplayer ships with 12 core 6v6 maps and a mode lineup spanning classics such as Team Deathmatch, Domination and Search and Destroy alongside new modes. The launch package is built around three parts: campaign, multiplayer and DMZ.
