Secretary of State Weber Releases Voter Information Guide for Nov. 3 Election; Online Registration Deadline Is Oct. 19

California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber has announced that the Statewide Voter Information Guide for the November 3, 2026, General Election is available for public review. Registered voters can opt out of receiving a paper guide by mail and instead receive a link to the electronic version by email: first-time registrants and voters updating their information can opt out while registering at registertovote.ca.gov, and already-registered voters can opt out at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. Every registered voter in a household must opt out for the paper guide to stop being mailed to that address.
Among the key dates for the election, the online voter registration deadline is Monday, October 19. Eligible Californians who miss the traditional registration deadline can still register and vote in person through Same Day Voter Registration (Conditional Voter Registration) at county elections offices or in-person voting locations; those ballots are counted once the county completes registration verification.
The Secretary of State's office is at 1500 11th Street in Sacramento, (916) 653-6814. Key dates and the full general election calendar are posted on the Secretary of State's website.
