Menifee Council Approves Menifee Village Specific Plan Amendment No. 7 in 4-1 Vote, Adding Open Space

The Menifee City Council voted 4-1 on October 7 to introduce an ordinance approving Specific Plan Amendment No. 7 for Menifee Village, updating development standards for the community, shifting unrealized residential units and increasing open space.
At the same meeting, the council voted 5-0 to continue the public hearing and first reading of Annexation No. 41 — bringing a Burger King into Community Facilities District 2017-1 for maintenance services — to the October 21 meeting, because developer ballots had not yet been received. The council also voted 5-0 to adopt a resolution of necessity authorizing property acquisition for right-of-way purposes on McCall Boulevard.
Menifee Village is a large planned community within the City of Menifee; the amendment adjusts the distribution of units and open space within it. Further ordinance steps and effective dates will be published by the city.
