The 2026 Moonflower Multicultural Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, October 24, at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center, 1165 Angelina St., in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Admission is free.
Inspired by the theme of community engagement through Chinese traditional dance, music, folk arts and heritage education, the festival features lion dance and stage performances, cultural demonstrations and food. Visitors can try Chinese calligraphy, traditional printing and paper cutting, and also enjoy African drumming and dance and foods from many cultures.
Hosted by Austin Moonflower and Tonya Li Silk, the festival aims to bring Chinese and Asian traditions together with African American and other cultural voices, creating space for cross-cultural learning and community connection.
