Follow-Up: Two More Members of Bastrop Meth Conspiracy Sentenced: 144 and 57 Months

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced on October 20 that two more members of a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy based in Bastrop, Louisiana, have been sentenced: Johnny Bradshaw, 34, received 144 months in federal prison, and Travis Peterson, 36, received 57 months. U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Keller made the announcement. The conspiracy's large-scale distributor, Justavious K. Williams, was sentenced on October 21 to 336 months in prison in the same case.
Bradshaw, of Bastrop, was sentenced on October 9, 2026, by Chief U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty to 144 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute; he pleaded guilty on June 22, 2026. According to court records, between May and July 2025 Bradshaw worked with co-conspirators in a methamphetamine distribution network operating in and around Bastrop. Investigators intercepted communications discussing multiple drug transactions, including a large shipment being transported from Texas, and on July 22, 2025, investigators conducted a controlled purchase of approximately 110 grams of methamphetamine from Bradshaw, after which he was arrested.
Peterson, of Garland, Texas, served as a primary transporter for the Texas-based source supplying the network. Judge Doughty sentenced him the same day to 57 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, on the same conspiracy charge; he pleaded guilty on June 23, 2026. According to court records, Peterson coordinated shipments with co-conspirators, including a July 2025 delivery in which he arrived at a residence carrying luggage believed to contain narcotics. In late August and early September 2025 he arranged the transport of approximately 28 kilograms of methamphetamine, and in October he provided another load from his Texas residence; during a traffic stop of co-conspirators transporting that shipment, investigators seized approximately 23 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed in an orange suitcase.
The cases were investigated by the DEA, the Louisiana State Police and the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Aaron Crawford. Bradshaw's and Peterson's case numbers are 3:25-cr-299-02 and 3:25-cr-299-07, under the same case as Williams.
