Live-Action 'Lilo & Stitch 2' Begins Filming on Oahu; Stitch and Angel Spotted Near Bishop Museum

In Honolulu, a city and county in Hawaii, Principal photography on Disney's live-action "Lilo & Stitch 2" began on Oahu on October 14, and set photos published October 19 showed Stitch alongside Angel, the pink experiment making her live-action debut, which Disney confirmed in August. Chris Sanders, Stitch's original voice and co-creator, wrote and is directing; Jonathan Eirich produces.
The sequel is an original story rather than a remake of the animated "Stitch Has a Glitch." The first live-action film grossed $1.038 billion worldwide. The sequel is scheduled for release in May 2028.
Filming locations include the Bishop Museum area, and the production opened with a traditional Hawaiian blessing attended by Governor Josh Green. No official trailer has been released.
