Miami Beach Approves NoLi District 7-0: City Alley North of Lincoln Road to Become Pedestrian Dining Lane

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · City · GSM News

In Miami Beach, a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, the Miami Beach City Commission voted 7 to 0 on October 20 to approve an agreement with developer Michael Comras's Comras Company to convert a city-owned service alley between Meridian Avenue and Meridian Court, north of Lincoln Road, into the NoLi District, a pedestrian retail and dining lane, Miami Today reported. The city parcel covers about 12,263 square feet; the roughly $3 million project includes about $2 million in public improvements and $1 million in retail and café structures, with the developer funding construction and maintenance while the city keeps ownership of the land.

The concession runs 20 years with three 10-year renewals, up to 50 years in total. A passage will run through the 719-737 Lincoln Road building.

Phase one is expected to finish by mid-2027, most of it before the Grand Hyatt convention center hotel opens.
