Murrieta Fire & Rescue Issues October Brief: Annual Recognition Held, Rescue Tools Shared With Police SWAT, Joint Training Under Way
In Murrieta, Riverside County, California, Murrieta Fire & Rescue has issued its October brief. On October 1, the department held its annual Employee Recognition Ceremony in the City Council Chambers, and Fire Chief Bernie Molloy used the brief to thank all personnel. During the month, crews shared rescue tools with Murrieta Police SWAT officers, studied large warehouse fires together with CAL FIRE and the Pechanga Fire Department, practiced flood rescues in Murrieta Creek, began rebuilding the roof prop at the training area, and hosted a firefighter-health class for other agencies. The brief also reminds residents that when daylight saving time ends on November 1, they should test their smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms.
