Branch Out Dallas Reaches Pickup Stage: Registered Residents Collect Free Five-Gallon Trees on November 7

DALLAS, Texas — Branch Out Dallas, the City of Dallas's free tree program in Dallas County, Texas, has reached its pickup stage. Run by Dallas Water Utilities and now in its eighth year, the program gives each registered resident household one free five-gallon tree. Participation requires a Dallas Water Utilities account, is limited to one tree per residence, and registration for this year closed on September 30.
Pickup is set for Dallas Arbor Day, Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the location each resident selected when registering. There are seven pickup locations across the city, including Kidd Springs Park, Kiest Park and several library branches. The city says the program aims to expand the urban tree canopy, improve air quality and add summer shade, and trees are released against registration records at pickup.
