Trump Says Bombardier to Invest $270 Million Across Kansas, Texas and Indiana

Thursday, October 22, 2026 · States · GSM News

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said on Truth Social on October 22 that Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier will invest $270 million across three U.S. states — Kansas, Texas and Indiana — to create jobs.

The statement comes against continued U.S.-Canada trade friction. In September, as the trade dispute escalated, Trump turned his fire on Bombardier and threatened to ban the company's aircraft from U.S. sales. Just last week, Bombardier announced a $50 million investment in Kansas — this site reported on October 19 its plan to expand its Wichita base and open North America's first technician training and learning center.

One caveat: the $270 million three-state investment figure currently appears only in Trump's post; Bombardier has not confirmed it in the reporting available.
