Sony Pictures Classics Releases the Official U.S. Trailer for "Bunker," Starring Bardem and Cruz
Sony Pictures Classics released the official U.S. trailer for "Bunker" on October 21 (see the video in this story, from the studio's official channel). The film stars Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz as married couple Miguel and Sofia, with Patrick Schwarzenegger as Jeremy.
Bardem's Miguel, an architect, accepts an unusual commission: building an underground survival bunker for an eccentric tech billionaire. As the project advances, the work begins to erode his home life and strain the marriage.
"Bunker" premiered in the main competition of the 83rd Venice Film Festival in September 2026, where it received a 16-minute, 30-second standing ovation, and has since screened at the Toronto, Zurich and London festivals. The distributor plans an awards-qualifying run beginning December 11, ahead of a 2027 release.
