Hong Kong Market Place 40th Anniversary Night Market Opens October 23 in Grand Prairie: Three Days, Free Admission

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — The 40th "HKMKT Night Market," in Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas, runs for three days starting Friday, October 23 at Asia Times Square, with free admission, celebrating Hong Kong Market Place's 40 years of serving the community in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Hong Kong Market Place is run by the Lo family and is one of the largest Asian supermarkets in the area. Asia Times Square's website says this year's night market aims to bring "a corner of Asia's famous night markets to DFW," with an in-store "40 years, 40 specials" promotion for customers, and it is recruiting sponsors, performers and vendors. The City of Grand Prairie's tourism office says the 40th-anniversary celebration thanks the employees, suppliers, customers and community partners who have supported the family business over 40 years; the Lo family says "the most important thing built over these 40 years is not a supermarket, but relationships." Asia Times Square is at 2615–2625 W Pioneer Pkwy and is a regular hub for Chinese and Asian residents' shopping, dining and festival gatherings.
