Dolphins Rookie Receiver Douglas Returns Sunday Against Jets After Three-Game Absence

Miami Dolphins rookie receiver Caleb Douglas will play Sunday against the New York Jets after missing three games with a right ankle injury, the Associated Press reported on October 23.
Douglas was hurt in the second half of a 35-13 loss at San Francisco on September 20 and had been sidelined since. He returned to practice this week on a limited basis, and head coach Jeff Hafley confirmed on Friday morning that he will play.
Douglas caught seven passes for 113 yards in the first two games of the season — still third-most on the team — including five catches for 94 yards in his debut against the Las Vegas Raiders, a franchise record for a rookie's first game. Miami is averaging just 153.6 passing yards per game, second-lowest in the league, and 14 points per game, so his return adds a needed target. Running back Jaylen Wright is also expected to play Sunday.
