Spiedo Opens in Detroit's Midtown: Takoi Chef Brad Greenhill's New Italian Skewer Restaurant

DETROIT, Michigan — Spiedo, the new Midtown restaurant from chef Brad Greenhill, opened on Friday, October 23, at 441 W. Canfield in the Cass Corridor, the Detroit Free Press reported. Greenhill runs the new restaurant together with chef Michael Goldberg.
Greenhill is the chef behind Takoi, the Corktown restaurant at the west end of Michigan Avenue that celebrated its 10th year in 2024; he also operates a Spiedo in Ann Arbor. The new Spiedo seats more than 80 and centers on Italian-style skewered meats with Mediterranean touches. Its interior was designed once again with Undecorated, the firm founded by Ishtiaq Rafiuddin, which previously worked with Greenhill on Takoi, Magnet and the Ann Arbor Spiedo.
At first, the restaurant will be open for dinner only, Wednesday through Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.; Greenhill said lunch and carryout will be added in a few weeks.
