Auburn Edges Alabama 87-85 in Fiery Exhibition Game
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Auburn defeated Alabama 87-85 in a men's basketball exhibition game at Legacy Arena on Thursday night, October 23. The exhibition turned heated early: less than five minutes in, Auburn's Bristow and Alabama's Dowd clashed under the basket, and the teams combined for four technical fouls.
Alabama coach Nate Oats and Auburn coach Steven Pearl also exchanged words during the game, and players including Caleb Williams scuffled again during the postgame handshake line before staff separated them. Legacy Arena seats 17,654.
The rivals meet twice more in the regular season, on January 30 and March 6.
