Fire Burns Vacant Travelodge in North Phoenix; No Injuries
PHOENIX, Arizona — A fire broke out early on October 23, at about 5:30 to 5:45 a.m., at a Travelodge by Wyndham motel near 25th Avenue and Greenway Road, close to Interstate 17 in north Phoenix, in Maricopa County. Fire crews raised a second alarm as they worked to contain the blaze.
Fire officials said the building was believed to be vacant and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
The same property caught fire on August 16 of this year, when about 30 people were displaced; Thursday's fire was a separate incident.
