Louisville's TARC to Offer Free Rides on Election Day

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) announced on October 23 that all of its fixed-route buses and paratransit services will be free on Election Day, November 3, to help voters reach the polls.
TARC has offered fare-free service on Election Day since 2020, making it an established practice.
Yates of the Jefferson County Clerk's office said free transit helps remove transportation barriers for voters. TARC advised riders to check route schedules in advance and allow extra travel time.
