Meissner Holds Ribbon Cutting for X-Ray Irradiation Facility, Breaks Ground on Phase 2 in Athens, Georgia

Meissner Corporation, a manufacturer of advanced microfiltration and therapeutic manufacturing systems, marked a double milestone in Athens, Georgia, on October 23: a ribbon cutting for its new X-ray irradiation services facility and a groundbreaking for Phase 2 of its Athens manufacturing campus.
According to the company's announcement via PR Newswire, the new X-ray irradiation capacity will serve both Meissner's own products and other clients needing irradiation services, speeding delivery of irradiated, process-ready products to pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers. Phase 2 will add manufacturing space at the Athens campus, located at 520 Meissner Avenue and announced in 2023 as a $250 million investment, complementing the company's headquarters campus in Camarillo, California, and its facility in Castlebar, Ireland.
CEO Christopher Meissner said customers are asking for more sterilization capacity and more resilient supply chains, and that Athens is how the company delivers both, thanking partners in Athens-Clarke County and the State of Georgia.
