New Hampshire Democrats Take Statewide Tour to Exeter and Manchester, Targeting Governor Ayotte

The New Hampshire Democratic Party announced on October 23 that its statewide tour continued in Exeter and Manchester, targeting Republican Governor Kelly Ayotte with less than two weeks to go before the November 3 election.
In Exeter, Water Street Bookstore owner Dan Chartrand said he expects the governor to advocate for New Hampshire businesses and push back when federal policies hurt local communities. Union ironworker Matt Glavin criticized Ayotte as absent when workers and businesses need a leader in their corner. Portsmouth City Councilor Kate Cook said the "New Hampshire Advantage" Ayotte talks about is being eroded on the Seacoast.
In Manchester, State Senator Pat Long, State Representative Patty Cornell and state representative candidate Lucas Coriaty spoke in turn, criticizing the Ayotte administration for putting taxpayer dollars into a private school voucher program and for cutting affordable housing funding. Democrats said high grocery, utility and rent bills are squeezing young families. The announcement was issued by the New Hampshire Democratic Party as a campaign update.
