Refreshed Strawberry Way Mural Unveiled in Downtown Pittsburgh
A refreshed mural on Strawberry Way in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was unveiled on October 20. The project was completed by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership together with the University of Pittsburgh's Hemispheric Conversations urban art program.
Local artists who worked on the new mural include Ifeoma Creates, Emily Paige Armstrong, Cara Rosetti, Qian Dubay, Brian Gonella, Haley Wilson and Ada Siobhan. In September, the organizers also held a public Paint Jam inviting residents to help paint.
Bruce Chan, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership's senior director of urban design, presented the new mural's concept at the unveiling, which Mayor Corey O'Connor attended. This report is based on USA TODAY's October 23 coverage.
