Follow-up: San Diego State Falls 85-68 to No. 21 USC in Exhibition; 20 Turnovers Doom Aztecs
On Friday night, October 23, the San Diego State Aztecs of San Diego, San Diego County, California, lost 85-68 to No. 21 USC at Viejas Arena, their second straight exhibition defeat; the result was reported on October 24. It was the Aztecs' second exhibition of the season, after a 67-82 loss to No. 5 Arizona a week earlier. USC led 51-32 by halftime and stretched the margin to 23 early in the third quarter. USC shot 7-of-14 from three in the first half, with Rodney Rice hitting three of them; the Aztecs were 3-of-10. Head coach Brian Dutcher still has one exhibition to adjust: the Aztecs host Long Beach State on Wednesday night, then open the regular season at home on November 3.
