Kraken Host Wild on October 24 Seeking Third Straight Win

On Saturday, October 24, the Seattle Kraken, in King County, Washington, host the Minnesota Wild at Climate Pledge Arena, looking to extend their winning streak to three. The Kraken have gone 5-1-1 over their last seven games; on the night of October 22 they beat Utah 5-3, with Mackie Samoskevich scoring the go-ahead goal at 14:35 of the third period and goaltender Philipp Grubauer making 33 saves. The Wild have lost both games so far on their five-game road trip, falling in Edmonton and Calgary for a 0-1-1 mark; leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov has seen his seven-game point streak and four-game goal streak snapped. Minnesota's head coach said losing the special-teams battle in both games was the main cause of the defeats. Another win would further cement the Kraken's strong start; the Wild urgently need a victory to stop their slide on the road.
