Flyers Fall 5-4 at Home to the Ducks as Three-Game Win Streak Ends

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · City · GSM News

On October 24, the Philadelphia Flyers, in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, lost 5-4 at home to the visiting Anaheim Ducks, ending a three-game winning streak. Ducks defenseman Tristan Luneau was the key figure with a goal and two assists; early in the third period his seemingly harmless shot slipped past goaltender Joseph Woll to put Anaheim ahead. Ducks center Leo Carlsson added a goal and an assist, and Beckett Sennecke tipped in a Carlsson feed for a power-play goal in the third that stretched the lead to two. For the Flyers, Matvei Michkov scored twice, his seventh and eighth goals of the season, Porter Martone and Tyson Foerster also scored, and former Duck Trevor Zegras had two assists against his old team. Philadelphia scored two power-play goals in the first period but could not protect the lead, and a late power play in the final 40-plus seconds failed to produce the equalizer. The Flyers had won three straight after opening the season with nine losses, while the Ducks snapped a five-game losing streak. Philadelphia's lingering problem remains closing out games after taking the lead.
