Three Saints Defenders Fined a Combined $35,222 by the NFL for the Win Over the Giants; No Suspensions

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · City · GSM News

On October 24, the NFL announced disciplinary fines for three defenders of the New Orleans Saints, in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, for their conduct in the Week 6 win over the New York Giants: Chase Young was fined $14,926, Christen Miller $11,915 and Vernon Broughton $8,381, a combined $35,222, with two of the players fined for a gesture made at the same moment. The league said the fines carry no suspensions and will not affect the players' availability. The Saints, 2-4, are in Paris preparing for Sunday's historic game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the league's first regular-season game in Paris, kicking off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. For the Saints, the win was a chance to turn around a slow start and the defense was key to it, but the postgame disciplinary review added a price tag. The league noted that amounts could change if a player appeals successfully. For now the team's focus stays on the Paris game, hoping for one more win before its bye week.
