Falcons Adjust Roster Before Sunday: Terrell Returns From Injury as 49ers Visit
On October 24, 2026, the day before their Week 7 home game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons announced a series of roster moves, headlined by cornerback A.J. Terrell being activated from injured reserve. Terrell had missed four games with a hamstring injury, practiced all three days this week, and is expected to play Sunday.
The team also signed defensive end Drake Jackson from the practice squad to the active roster and placed offensive tackle Michael Jerrell on injured reserve. Linebacker Brian Asamoah and running back Khalil Herbert were elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game — Asamoah to fill in for the ruled-out linebacker Divine Deablo, and Herbert to back up star running back Bijan Robinson with Brian Robinson injured.
Wide receiver Beau Collins and offensive tackle Cameron Williams practiced this week but remain on injured reserve and will not play; rookie cornerback Avione Terrell is questionable with a hamstring injury and illness. The Falcons host the 49ers at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Terrell's return should strengthen the secondary.
