Broncos Activate Two on Oct. 24: Coleman Back From Injury, Cooper Returns From Exempt List

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · City · GSM News

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Denver Broncos announced the activation of running back Jonah Coleman and pass rusher Jonathon Cooper to the 53-man roster; both will play in Sunday's Week 7 game at the Arizona Cardinals.

Coleman had been on injured reserve with an ankle injury. In Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars he recorded 13 touches for 58 yards and his first career touchdown before getting hurt. Now healthy, he joins a three-man running back rotation with J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Cooper returns after spending the first six games on the league's exempt list; he faces multiple charges, including a felony assault charge, stemming from two June arrests involving a former girlfriend, and the league restored his eligibility last week after his trial date was pushed to next March.

The Broncos also placed running back Tyler Badie on injured reserve with a thumb injury to open a roster spot for Coleman. Denver plays at Arizona at 2:05 p.m. Mountain Time on Sunday, with both returnees expected to deepen the rotation on offense and defense.
