Pistons Rule Out Center Duren for Sunday’s Game Against the 76ers With a Right Hamstring Strain

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · City · GSM News

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Detroit Pistons officially announced that starting center Jalen Duren will miss Sunday's road game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a right hamstring strain — the first game the Pistons will be without their center this season.

Duren was hurt in the Pistons' 128-111 win over the Miami Heat on the night of October 23. He left in the second quarter after just over 10 minutes and did not return, finishing with 4 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. The team initially described the injury as a thigh issue; the official injury report on October 24 specified a right hamstring strain.

The 22-year-old Duren is the core of Detroit's frontcourt and signed a $200 million extension this past summer; the Pistons have opened the season with two straight wins. Forward Ausar Thompson is listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain — he also went to the locker room during the Heat game. The Pistons have not announced a timetable for Duren's return and say he will be re-evaluated as he recovers.
