Wrestling Legend Ric Flair Hospitalized After Fall Outside Tampa Restaurant; Daughter Shares Update on Oct. 24

On October 23, 2026, Ric Flair, a WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time world champion, was taken to a hospital after falling outside a Wagamama restaurant in Tampa, drawing widespread concern from the wrestling world and fans.
Flair reportedly fell while crossing the street after leaving the restaurant area, suffering a head injury and cuts around his eye with heavy bleeding. He was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. There were concerns he might have a concussion, though that had not been officially confirmed as of reporting. The accident came the same day Flair had publicly disclosed a blood-clot diagnosis, adding to the worry.
His daughter, wrestling star Charlotte Flair, posted an update on social media on October 24 saying her father had told doctors why he fell, adding "he will be OK," which reassured fans. The 77-year-old Flair has battled serious health problems throughout his later career, including emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction in 2017 that left him in a medically induced coma, and a heart attack during his final match in 2022. As of the night of October 24, neither the hospital nor the family had released further details about his condition.
