Chiefs Say Star Cornerback Sneed Will Not Fly With Team to Seattle, Will Travel Separately
On October 24, 2026, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that star cornerback L'Jarius Sneed will not travel with the team to Seattle, and will instead travel separately and meet the team there on Sunday.
The Chiefs play the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday night, October 25, in a nationally televised Week 7 headliner. Sneed appeared on the team's injury report this week and is listed as questionable. The team did not explain why he is traveling separately, nor confirm whether he will play on Sunday. The Chiefs arrive in Seattle with an unbeaten record.
Sneed is a key figure in the Chiefs' secondary, and his availability will directly shape how the team defends the Seahawks' offense. The team said Sneed will still arrive in Seattle on Sunday to join his teammates, with a final decision to be made on game day.
