University of Alabama Names 2026 Homecoming Queen: Gadsden Senior Kameron Baba

The University of Alabama announced on Oct. 23, during a pep rally and bonfire on the Quad at its Tuscaloosa campus, that Kameron Baba, a senior from Gadsden, has been elected the school's 2026 Homecoming Queen. She will be crowned at halftime of Alabama's Oct. 24 game against Texas A&M. Baba, a first-generation college student majoring in marketing, took part in the Congressional Scholars Program in the 2025-26 school year and interned in Washington that summer; she is also a student fellow at the Blackburn Institute and a member of the campus organization Flagship Men and Women. For her platform, themed "Better with Baba," she selected a campus service project whose donations will support the Camellia Center, which connects students with health, wellness and service resources on and off campus. The Homecoming Queen selection honors student leadership and community service. The rest of the Homecoming Court includes Riley Dooley of Grand Blanc, Michigan; Alex Younes of Chalmette, Louisiana; and Savanna Strong of Lincoln.
