Kentucky Hosts Vanderbilt Tonight: No. 12 Wildcats Seek Sixth Straight Win and Sole Possession of the SEC Lead

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · States · GSM News

According to an Oct. 24 report in the Courier-Journal, the University of Kentucky Wildcats host the Vanderbilt Commodores tonight at Kroger Field in Lexington, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Eastern (6:30 p.m. Central) on SEC Network. Kentucky is 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the SEC, ranked No. 12 in both major polls; Vanderbilt is 3-4 and 0-4 in the SEC and unranked. Kentucky has won five straight after a 21-13 road win at Oklahoma last week; a win tonight would make it six straight and, with Georgia on a bye, put the Wildcats alone atop the SEC. Kentucky leads the all-time series 49-45-4 (the school and the NCAA no longer recognize a 2021 win vacated over violations), but Vanderbilt has won three of the last four meetings, including the last two in Lexington; Kentucky still leads 26-17-2 at home against Vanderbilt. Kentucky is a double-digit favorite; a seventh win would earn head coach Will Stein a $100,000 bonus.
